(FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – According to a new survey, American families acknowledge that college is an investment in their child's future, but many have not planned on how they are going to pay for that college education.
Sallie Mae's annual "How Americans Pay for College Survey" reports fewer than half of those surveyed have a financial plan in place for tuition. To make matters worse, the U.S. Department of Education found that tuition for a four-year public university climbed 15 percent between 2008 and 2010.
