SPRINGFIELD (AP) - A 54-year-old Springfield man found unconscious in
a backyard swimming pool has died.
Police say it is unclear if Michael Linnehan drowned Thursday evening or if a
medical condition caused his death. He was found by his son in an above-ground
swimming pool at about 5:15 p.m.
The Springfield Republican reports that Springfield Fire
Commissioner William Conant was the first to arrive and that he began CPR until
an ambulance arrived.
