BOSTON (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – A 9-month-old baby was left alone in a hot car while his mother was grocery shopping.
Two security guards first noticed the child in the Whole Foods Market parking lot on Cambridge Street Sunday in Boston, where temperatures reached the high 80s. The alert baby was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital as a precaution.
Boston police say when they went into the store, the mother ran up to them claiming she'd "forgotten" the baby and had been inside the store about a half hour.
Boston police have asked the Department of Children and Families to investigate, but for now, say it looks like just a mistake.
