Police in Keene, N.H., say a 26-year-old man stole thousands from people who thought he had cancer.
Logan Henry set up a "Help Logan Henry" page on gofundme.com soliciting donations for help with cancer treatment, according to police.
Police said people donated approximately $3,796 to the fund by the middle of June.
Henry was caught after his former employer noticed the page and told police he had been out of work due to a shoulder injury and no cancer treatment had taken place.
Henry pleaded guilty in court. He was given a six-month deferred sentence, ordered to repay the money and a ordered to pay a $500 fine.
Anyone who may have donated money to Henry can contact Keene police at 603-357-9280.
