Confirmed sighting of a funnel cloud - Boston News, Weather, Sports | FOX 25 | MyFoxBoston

LYNN (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) The National Weather Service has confirmed that a storm cloud photographed in the Lynn area was a funnel cloud.

Weather officials also confirm that there were rotations in the area. FOX 25 viewers sent several images of what looked like rotating clouds, including in the Revere and Lynn area.

Severe thunderstorms made their way through Massachusetts and Rhode Island on Wednesday. The storms left thousands without power and delayed departing flights at Logan International Airport by more than an hour.
