The Boston FBI is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a bank robber who has been dubbed the "Bearded Bandit."
Investigators believe that the bandit is responsible for four bank robberies in Massachusetts and Rhode Island since February 2012.
The robberies include February 23 at a Bank of America in Seekonk, April 16 at a Citizens Bank in Cranston, Mary 7 at a Bank of America in Warwick, and June 27 at a Bank of America in North Providence.
In three of the robberies, the bandit claimed to have a firearm. In all four robberies, he threatened to hurt the tellers.
Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 617-742-5533 or the police departments located in any of the four towns hit by the bandit.
