LOWELL (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) A 41-year-old Chelmsford man was arraigned on Thursday for his alleged connection to the stabbing of a 60-year-old victim.
Larry Landry was arraigned in Lowell District Court on charges of armed assault to murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and assault and battery on an elderly or disabled person causing serious injury.
Landry is accused of approaching the 60-year-old victim who was in his car with a witness outside of a restaurant on Littleton Road in Chelmsford around 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The victim, who knows Landry, got out of his car to speak with him when Landry allegedly stabbed the victim with a knife multiple times in the chest and neck.
The victim was rushed to New England Medical Center where he is listed in stable condition.
Landry was arrested on Wednesday in Lowell. He is currently being held on $50,000 cash bail until his August 15 probable cause hearing.
