SOMERSET (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) A 33-year-old Fall River man was arrested during the early morning hours Saturday for allegedly stealing copper from the roof of a local high school.
Somerset Police claim they caught Raymond Robidoux in the process of stealing copper from the roof of the Somerset Berkley Regional High School just before 4:30 a.m.
The officers were conducting surveillance in the area following the theft of thousands of dollars worth of copper from the roof in the days prior to Robidoux's arrest. The thefts have caused water damage to the school's gym.
Robidoux is charged with larceny from a building, malicious destruction of property over $250, trespassing, attempted larceny, and possession of burglarious tools.
