Local police officials say airline passenger's car did not carry explosives

Posted: Updated:

BOSTON (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) Several law enforcement agencies launched an investigation Saturday into what were initially reported to be explosive items left in a car at Newark International Airport by an iRobot salesperson.

Massachusetts State Police coordinated with several federal agencies to question a male United Airlines passenger at Logan International Airport.

Law enforcement officials say further investigations suggest the items are a part of a sales demonstration and are not explosives.

State Police say the investigation is ongoing.
