BOSTON (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – President Barack Obama has made several trips to Boston since taking office and those trips have cost the city of Boston a pretty penny.
The Boston Herald reports that officers have work more than 9,500 hours in overtime details involving presidential visits since 2009. That comes out to a cost of just under $449,000.
Last month, the president came for a fundraiser in Boston. The paper says he raised more than $3 million while costing Boston more than $83,000 in police overtime.
The Herald says the Boston police had no comment.
