WAKEFIELD (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – Police are looking for the male suspect wanted in connection with a bank robbery Wednesday morning in Wakefield.
The suspect entered the Smith Street Bank of America branch at about 9:39 a.m. He claimed to have a bomb and demanded money, according to police.
The suspect fled on foot toward Water Street with an undetermined amount of cash.
He is described as a white male in his mid 20s to early 30s. He is 5'8," has a thin build and dark hair. The suspect was wearing a dark baseball hat with an unknown logo, dark sunglasses, surgical mask, white long sleeve shirt, blue jeans, white sneakers and green latex gloves.
Wakefield police, along with the FBI Bank Robbery Task Force, are investigating.
