(FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – There is a moderate risk for severe storms for parts of Massachusetts, western areas and portions of Connecticut. There is a slight risk for eastern areas.

The main threat of the storms will be damaging winds, hail, brief, heavy downpours, and frequent lightning. Keep an eye to the sky as we head into the afternoon hours.

High temperatures today will be 81 in Boston, 83 in Nashua, and 84 in Providence.
