From FOX 25 meteorologist Kevin Lemanowicz:
All forecast in New England are tricky. Throw in the fact the weekend is here and everyone wants to know specifically what is going to happen and the degree of difficulty goes up.
I'd love to tell you exactly when all the showers or thunderstorms will occur, but it just isn't possible in a situation like we'll see this weekend.
A front that was hung up over Massachusetts on Thursday will hang in for the weekend. Along it, more showers and thunderstorms are likely Saturday. Areas south of the Massachusetts Turnpike to the coast will have the best chance of seeing rain. This includes Cape Cod and the islands. Storms will likely pop up late Saturday morning into Saturday evening.
Another wave along that same front will likely bring more widespread showers Saturday night into Sunday morning.
I am optimistic that wave will pull the front away from us, leaving us with a decent second half of Sunday.
Make the best of it and have a great weekend!
