Police say eight women were arrested after stabbing a man on the subway early Sunday morning.

Authorities said the victim was riding south on a #6 train when he confronted the group and asked them to quiet down as the train neared the 23rd Street station around 6 a.m.

According to police, someone from the group first assaulted and then stabbed the straphanger in the left shoulder.

Witnesses were able to point out the gang to police and the eight women, ages 15 to 20, were arrested attempting to enter the 23rd Street station, officials said.

An MTA bus driver told the New York Post the women were carrying bottles of Corona beer and talked back to the police as they were being handcuffed.

The unidentified man was taken to Bellevue Hospital and was listed in stable condition.
