WORCESTER (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – City employees are hitting the street's in Worcester in an effort to cut down on panhandling.
The Worcester Telegram and Gazette says full-time outreach workers will head out Tuesday and try to connect people with the proper services so they do not have to beg for money or food.
Employees will point panhandlers towards services that can help with everything from job opportunities to medical care and food pantries.
Worcester came up with the initiative last month after growing complaints.
