
Boston police have said that a man who fatally shot another man early Sunday morning may have done so in self-defense.
Police said the shooting happened in the area of Atlantic Avenue and High Street.
According to police, two groups began arguing with each other and shots were fired. Police said Dumayne Chin, 25, of Boston was fatally shot during the incident.
Police said the 33-year-old man who shot Chin had a registered gun and a license to carry it. Police said he surrendered the gun and was fully cooperating with a police investigation.
Police investigating the incident said they believe the man was acting in self-defense. He has not been charged.
