MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – It isn't the first place you expect to see one of these.
A hot air balloon ended up right in the middle of a New York neighborhood. It was a colorful wake-up call for residents in Middletown Monday as they looked out to see a hot air balloon in the street.
One woman said the balloon was so close to her house she could hear the flames.
The pilot says he meant to land in the suburb an hour and a half north of Manhattan because a resident "waived him in."
Within minutes, the balloon's trailing truck packed it up, and as quickly as it dropped in, the balloon was gone.
