SALEM, N.H. (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - Police in New Hampshire are investigating an apparent double murder-suicide that occurred on Wheeler Avenue in Salem Tuesday.
New Hampshire State Police, the Salem Police Department, and the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office closed a section of the street as they combed through the home where one adult man and two adult women were found dead from apparent gunshot wounds.
One of the bodies was found outside the home near the front door.
All of the victims are believed to be related; however, their identities were being withheld pending notification of family members.
Investigators believe the incident occurred around 12 p.m. They removed the bodies from the premises before 8 p.m.
Officials say it is unclear what sparked the violence.
An investigation is underway and autopsies are scheduled for Wednesday.
