WORCESTER (AP) - Two Rhode Island residents have pleaded not guilty to charges of luring an autistic and diabetic Massachusetts man to a motel room and killing him.
Police say 22-year-old Lara Cori and 20-year-old James Howze, both of Providence, lured 19-year-old Joseph Webster to a motel room in Northborough in March, where he was stabbed more than 10 times.
Authorities say they knew Webster and tried to sell his car after they killed him.
The Telegram & Gazette (http://bit.ly/MYKD5H ) reports that Cori is charged with murder while Howze is charged with murder and larceny. Both were ordered held without bail at their Superior Court arraignment on Tuesday.
Webster, who was mildly autistic, was reported missing by his family on March 13. His body was found April 3 in a storage container in Providence.
