MIDDLEBOROUGH (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) A mosquito pool collected in the town of Middleborough has tested positive for eastern equine encephalitis.
Public health officials announced the results of a July 25 collection of mammal-biting mosquitoes on Wednesday. The town's risk level has been raised to high in response to the discovery of EEE and ground spraying will increase in Middleborough and nearby communities.
