BOSTON (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – There are new details about a former Boston Public Schools headmaster who was allowed to keep his job after assaulting his wife.
The Boston Globe did some digging and says that Rodney Peterson was chronically absent from his job.
Superintendent Carol Johnson told the paper she is launching an investigation to see if Peterson violated the school sick time policy.
The Globe says Peterson missed more than 20 percent of the school year while headmaster at the John D. O'Bryant High School.
Johnson came under fire for not disciplining him when she found out about the assault. She later apologized for her handling of the incident.
