A woman and her 3-week-old infant were found dead in a New Bedford home on Friday.
Police said the two were found in the shower in the bathroom of the home on Bullard Street.
The woman's father identified her as Rayna Ramos, 19, and said the baby's name was Melissa.
Eugenio Ramos said that Ramos had a medical condition that caused her to occasionally pass out and regain consciousness. Ramos said he believes the medical condition was to blame for the deaths.
Ramos said that Rayna Ramos' boyfriend came home and discovered the bodies.
The Bristol County district attorney's office said there did not appear to be any foul play and the deaths were not suspicious.
Neighbors remembered Ramos as a sweet, friendly girl.
"She was so friendly, she says hi to everybody when she passes by," a neighbor said.
An investigation is ongoing.
