LAWRENCE (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – Police in Lawrence are hoping some very clear looking surveillance video helps them find two men wanted in a convenience store hold-up.
It happened earlier this week at City Mart on Haverhill Street. The video shows two men entering the store. One is wearing a blue shirt, the other walks in wearing a hat and sunglasses. That man has a gun in his hand as he jumps over the counter and starts to fight with the clerk.
You can see just how close the weapon is to the clerk's head and the struggle seems to go on for at least a minute.
At one point, the suspect even has the clerk in a headlock. That's when the second suspect walks around the counter and appears to take something near the register. But the clerk is not giving up so fast. He goes after the men with some sort of a stick, even chases them out the door.
But despite the clerk's best efforts, the suspects still take off with hundreds of dollars.
Now, Lawrence police are hoping that because the video is so good someone will be able to identify these guys.
