(FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - Nineteen years later, and the mystery
surrounding Holly Piirainen's abduction and murder continues to baffle police.
The little girl's family posted signs of Holly in the Sturbridge area on Sunday
to mark the nineteenth anniversary of her disappearance.
Holly was last seen alive
on Aug. 5, 1993 in Sturbridge. She was
visiting her grandmother when she was abducted. Her remains were found that
October in the woods of Brimfield.
In April,
the Hampden Country District Attorney announced that David Pouliot, who is now
dead, has some connection to the case.
A Massachusetts State Police Detective assigned to the Piirainen case, traveled
to Florida
last week with detectives investigating
the murder of Molly Bish.
The reward for information regarding Holly's
case is up to $40,000.
