Woman charged with OUI after striking police cruiser

A woman was arrested for operating under the influence after striking a police cruiser early Saturday morning.

Police said Laurie Lacle, 48, of Somerset, Mass., was driving past a cruiser on a work crew detail on Route 195 West when she struck the driver door and left front quarter of the cruiser and took off. She was stopped by another officer working a detail farther down

The officer inside the first cruiser suffered minor injuries.

The woman was charged with OUI, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of a crash, failure to change lanes for an emergency vehicle and operating an uninspected motor vehicle.
