SPRINGFIELD (AP) - A 34-year-old woman has been killed in a
three-vehicle crash on Interstate 291 in Springfield.
State police say the Springfield woman was killed around 3:30 p.m. Sunday on
I-291 west at the ramp to Interstate 91 south. Her identification has been
withheld pending notification of her family.
The woman was a passenger in a Ford Explorer driven by a 41-year-old
Springfield man. He has been taken to a hospital for treatment of minor
injuries. Two juveniles in the Explorer have been taken to the hospital as a
precaution.
State police troopers are working on a reconstruction of the accident.
No charges have been filed at this time.
