BOSTON (AP) - Boston's Rose Kennedy Greenway will be hosting free activities
for city residents and visitors this summer as part of a new open streets
initiative.
Launched in late June by the Emerald Necklace Conservancy, City of Boston and
other groups, the Circle the City event will close some of the streets near the
greenway and city's downtown wharf district on Sunday morning and early
afternoon.
The event, which aims to promote the city's parks and healthy living, will
offer free fitness clinics, bike tours and environmental education. It will also
feature live music and dance performances.
Circle the City events have also taken place in Franklin Park and Jamaica
Pond earlier this summer.
