FOXBOROUGH (AP) - The New England Patriots have signed rookie free
agent Kyle Hill for their depleted offensive line.
Hill was a left tackle at Duke, where he started 46 games the past four
seasons. He is the fourth rookie offensive lineman added in 13 days, following
Darrion Weems, Derek Dennis and Dustin Waldron.
The Patriots are thin along the line. Left tackle Matt Light retired; left
guard Logan Mankins hasn't practiced since having surgery for a torn anterior
cruciate ligament in his left knee soon after the Super Bowl; right tackle
Sebastian Vollmer has been out with a back injury; and right guard Brian Waters
hasn't reported.
