State police K9 cruiser involved in crash - Boston News, Weather, Sports | FOX 25 | MyFoxBoston

A Massachusetts State Police cruiser was involved in a crash on Route 56 Wednesday afternoon.

Police said the crash, involving a K9 unit cruiser, happened at the Carver-Plymouth line. Police said the trooper was responding to the Miles Standish State Forest for an apparently suicidal person.

Both the officer and driver of the other car were taken to Jordan Hospital for evaluation.

The canine involved was uninjured.

An investigation is ongoing.
