Sports Anchor (Full-Time)

Our Sports Anchor is part of a dynamic team that covers sports impacting the New England marketplace.  Qualified applicants will have demonstrated experience gathering news on sporting events, interviewing, researching and producing sports.  Uses sports knowledge to identify sources, communicate with sources and develop expertise on local sports teams.  This position requires the use of social media and new technologies to quickly share sports news and game vents online.  Stories will need to be compiled under tight time restraints. Proven ability to develop relationships and viewer following is a must.

Candidates must have a degree in Journalism with sports concentration preferred.  Thorough knowledge of sports including game rules, strategies and statistics will be important.  Excellent grammar, accuracy, attention to detail, time and organizational management skills are necessary.  Knowledge of Avid editing equipment is a plus.
