Officer who shot, killed D.J. Henry to give first deposition in civil case

Posted: Updated:

The lawyer representing the family of D.J. Henry will get the chance to question the officer who shot and killed the Easton native nearly two years ago.

Henry's family has filed a civil suit claiming his death was unjustified. Pleasantville Police Officer Aaron Hess claims Henry's car was accelerating toward him.

Hess is scheduled to give his first deposition in the case on Tuesday morning.

D.J. Henry was a student at Pace University when he was shot and killed outside of a New York bar. A grand jury decided against bringing criminal charges against Hess.
