Governor Mitt Romney surprised some with his Vice Presidential choice of Wisconsin Representative Paul Ryan.
As House Budget Committee Chairman, Ryan authored controversial budget plans that called for cutting the deficit and making changes to entitlement programs like Medicare. In fact, Rep Ryan has drawn harsh criticism from Democrats and the President's re-election campaign for his proposals.
