Monson declares state of emergency, some streets shut down

MONSON (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) Flooding from weekend storms have left the town of Monson in a state of emergency as some streets remained impassible on Sunday.

Three of the roads that sustained the worst damage are Beebe Road, Chestnut Street and Route 32.

Storms left portions of Beebe Road completely destroyed. Both Beebe Road and Chestnut Street are impassible until further notice, reports masslive.com.

Monson was one of the Western Mass. towns devstated by tornadoes in 2011.
