BOSTON (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) –A third woman who has not been identified has died in connection with a quadruple shooting that occurred in Dorchester on Sunday night.

The woman died at a hospital on Monday afternoon. Two other women died following the shooting which capped off a weekend of violence across the city.  Ten people were shot in total.

The four women in Dorchester were shot while sitting in a parked car at the corner of Harlem Street and Glenway Street around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday. One died at the scene and another died at Boston Medical Center.  The fourth victim was shot in the leg and is expected to recover.

One of the victims was identified by her brother as Sharrice Perkins, of Dorchester. It was not immediately known if Perkins died at the scene or later at a hospital.

Police have not released the women's ages or identities, although Assistant District Attorney Mark Lee said none of those involved were children.

Lee told reporters at a noon press conference that there is no indication the shooting was random. Gang ties are a possibility and there was no indication drugs were involved, he said.

Boston police are searching for a white SUV in connection with the shooting.  The SUV had a black roof and halogen lamp-style headlights.  Officials said the driver and any passengers are wanted for questioning.

"Up until this weekend, we've had a relatively uneventful summer," Police Commissioner Ed Davis said. "That all changed."

Davis, Lee and Mayor Thomas Menino met Monday morning to discuss the shootings. 

Two more people were shot Sunday night in Dorchester and suffered injuries that were not considered life-threatening. Police say this shooting was not connected to the other one in Dorchester.

In Roslindale, one person was killed and three others were hurt after a weekend shooting there. It happened inside a single-family home on Canterbury Street shortly after 3 a.m. Sunday.
    
At least one of the surviving victims was said to be in critical condition. Police were not releasing details about the victims or any possible suspects in the case.

Menino said the city has increased police presence and violence intervention teams in the areas where the shootings occurred.
