Posted: Updated:

MANCHESTER (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – Firefighters in Manchester, N.H. responded to a massive fire that tore through four buildings in the area of 333 Central Street on Monday night.

Firefighters from across the city responded to the fire around 6 p.m. on Monday.  It took nearly two hours to put out the fire at the triple-decker building on Central Street.

The heavy smoke that came from the buildings could be seen for more than a mile, and crews were forced to shut down several streets in the area.

No one was hurt, but one cat was rescued from the flames.

The fire chief in Manchester told FOX 25 that he is fairly certain that this is a case of arson; however, an exact cause has not been determined.
