MERRIMACK, N.H. (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - A New Hampshire man was arrested on an active warrant by the Merrimack Police Department on Monday for a burglary offense that occurred on June 29, 2011.
Stephen Foti, 27, of Derry, N.H., was unable to post bail and was transported to Hillsborough County Jail. He was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday to answer to the burglary charge.
The warrant stemmed from an investigation that began on June 29, 2011 when police responded to a residence on Woodland Drive for the report of a burglary. When officers spoke with the homeowner, it was reported that she had just arrived home and saw an unknown male run out of the front door of her home.
Police found the house in disarray, and it was obvious that someone had been rummaging through the owner's belongings.
Witnesses were able to give a description of the suspect, as well as a vehicle involved. With this information, police were able to identify Foti as a suspect and issued a warrant and affidavit for his arrest.
