After morning downpours slammed some areas of Massachusetts another line of weather is getting set to drench the Bay State Wednesday afternoon.

FOX 25 meteorologist Cindy Fitzgibbon said storms would ramp back up at about 2 p.m., but would be more hit-or-miss across the state.

Fitzgibbon said the storms had the potential to be severe with damaging winds, hail and downpours. She said flash flooding will also be a concern as rainfall rates could exceed one- to two-inches an hour.

There was also a chance of heavy downpours moving across Fenway Park for the start of Wednesday's Bruce Springsteen concert, Fitzgibbon said.

Temperatures Wednesday were forecast in the low 80s, with high humidity and some sunshine through midday.

The humidity is expected to drop behind the storms but was expected to increase again Friday for more storms Friday night into the weekend.
