(FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – Police in Boston responded to 65 Warren St. in Roxbury on Wednesday afternoon after learning a male had been stabbed following an argument on an MBTA bus.

The stabbing occurred around 2:37 p.m. on Wednesday near the Dudley MBTA stop in the Roxbury neighborhood.  Hours after the incident, police announced that the 25-year-old male had died; however, police did not immediately release his name.

According to a spokesman for the MBTA, the man was involved in an argument on the bus, but the fatal stabbing occurred once the parties got off the bus.

The killing was the fifth homicide this week in the city. Three women were fatally shot on Sunday as they sat in a car in the Dorchester neighborhood. Also on Sunday, a man was fatally shot in the Roslindale neighborhood.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
