FOXBOROUGH (AP) - Training camp is the time to take chances.
If a quarterback completes a risky pass, he could try that again during the
regular season. If it's intercepted, he knows it might be a bad idea to throw it
when the games count.
But New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick wants to see those passes in
practice.
He said Wednesday that it's OK for a player to take risks at times in
practice to see how much he can do. That's part of the learning experience. He
said he's talked a lot about that with Tom Brady.
Brady said training camp is a time when new plays are installed so he does
things he might not do in games to see how they work.
