Police were looking to speak with the man seen in this photo in connection with the shooting
LAWRENCE (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - Police in Lawrence said they were looking to speak with a man in connection with the shooting of a girl that was sleeping in her home early Friday.
Chief of Police John Romero tells FOX 25 that people were out on the balcony at 33 Brooks Street just before 4 a.m. when a dark skinned male entered the building's hallway and approached them.
Police said the man asked about a woman he believed lived on the third floor, but the people said they did not know her. Witnesses told police the man asked to use the bathroom, but was told he could not and was escorted out of the building.
Moments later, a burgundy car was seen driving by the building and the man was in the passenger seat. The car parked in a nearby alley. Neighbors said they heard gunshots from the alley.
One bullet went through a wall on the first floor grazing the shoulder of the 11-year-old girl. She was taken to a hospital, treated and released.
No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting but police released two images of a man they said was wanted for questioning.
Anyone who may have any information is asked to call Lawrence police.
