Police investigate attempted rape in Burlington - Boston News, Weather, Sports | FOX 25 | MyFoxBoston

Burlington police were investigating the report of an attempted rape on Aboretum Way.

The alleged incident happened at about 3:20 a.m. on Monday. Police said the woman had arrived home from work when she was approached by a man with a pocket knife.

The woman was not hurt.

The man was described as in his late 20s or early 30s with a clean cut face. The woman said he was between 5'7" and 5'10" with a thin build. He was wearing a hat and had short hair.

Police said they believe it was an isolated incident. Anyone with information should call Burlington police.
