DUDLEY (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - Residents of Dudley are being asked to boil town water after E. coli was detected in some locations. The advisory went into effect on Aug. 17.
In a release, Dudley Police Chief Steve Wojnar advised residents that the water must be boiled for at least one minute prior to use. He suggested bottled water for food preparation and consumption.
Until further notice, community water may only be used for hand-washing purposes followed by hand sanitizer.
A reverse 911 will be used to inform residents when the boil water alert has been lifted.
