PROVINCETOWN (FOX 25 /
MyFoxBoston.com) - Four dolphins were found stranded in Wellfleet Harbor
on Sunday in an area known to locals as The Gut.
The dolphins were discovered too close to shore Sunday morning and were finally
led back to sea near Provincetown
by the afternoon.
The rescue effort came less than two days after eight
dolphins washed ashore in Eastham. One
of those dolphins died, but the rest were herded back to safe waters.
A spokeswoman for the International Fund for Animal Welfare told FOX 25 that they
believe the dolphins they rescued on Sunday are part of the group of 14
dolphins that they discovered on Friday.
