BROCKTON (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – A man tried to rob a Brockton gas station, but didn't count on the clerk behind the counter being prepared for a fight.
That clerk didn't want his face to appear on camera, but he was more than happy to show off the baseball bat he used to defend himself early Sunday morning.
Surveillance video showed the suspect in a red hoodie walk in. The man walks up to the counter and pulls out a knife, demanding cash. The clerk grabs his bat and that robber panics and runs out of the store. The clerk chased the suspect down the street until the man jumped into a waiting getaway car.
Police are still on the hunt for him and are asking anyone with information to contact them.
