BURLINGTON (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – A high-speed police chase came to a crashing end on Route 128. State police say it started in Boston and ended in Burlington.
The pursuit began around 9:30 p.m. Sunday when Boston police tried pulling a suspected stolen SUV over in South Boston.
The driver took off, getting on Interstate 93 north, then onto 128 south.
The chase ended in Burlington when a spike strip caused the SUV to crash at the Route 3 exit.
A cruiser was also hit in the crash, but that officer was not hurt.
State police arrested David Pare on the scene. He's facing stolen vehicle charges, but that could change.
