HULL (AP) - Hull town officials say a woman's bird feeding habit is a
"public health hazard" and they're going to court to get her to stop.
The woman's lawyer says the town's case is "beyond ridiculous" and called the
complaint "vindictive harassment."
The town alleges Gail Kansky has fed "an unreasonable number" of birds at her
home for years, sometimes throwing food on the beach for sea gulls or leaving
seed on her deck. The town says the birds leave waste on neighbors' property and
the feed attracts rats.

Kansky has been asked several times to stop feeding birds but has refused.
The town's lawyer is scheduled to appear in Brockton Housing Court on Tuesday
to request a restraining order blocking Kansky from feeding birds.
