MANCHESTER, N.H. (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) A 26-year-old New Hampshire man found himself back in handcuffs for check fraud just hours after making bail for his alleged role in another crime.

Michael Dargie of Manchester was arrested on Thursday morning on charges of criminal trespassing and receiving stolen property after investigators accused him of stealing copper pipe and wiring from a Central Street building.

Manchester Police allege that just 30 minutes after Dargie was released on bail, he entered the Citizen's Bank on Elm Street and attempted to cash a forged check for $1,000. Dargie fled as a bank employee was helping him.

Investigators spotted Dargie walking on Union Street at around 1 p.m. Thursday. An officer claims they were assaulted by Dargie while trying to confront him about the bank incident. Dargie reportedly fled and was arrested on Valley Street following a brief chase.

Dargie is facing charges that include forgery, simple assault, receiving stolen property, resisting arrest, and violationg his bail conditions.
