FOXBOROUGH (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – It's been a hotly debated subject both in Foxborough and on the FOX 25 Morning News.
The controversial ban to keep Foxborough residents from renting out parking at their property goes into effect Friday. The ban starts just in time for this weekend's highly anticipated Brothers of the Sun tour at Gillette Stadium.
In May, a bylaw was approved that would ban residents living around Gillette Stadium to charge for parking in front of their property on days of events.
Enforcement wasn't set until the Patriots home opener in September. But on Tuesday, officials said they would begin Friday.
Property owners will be fined $100 for each car they charge to park.
