
FRAMINGHAM (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) Framingham Police began a massive search for a suspect after a man was shot on Richardson Court in Framingham on Saturday.
The unidentified victim was flown by helicopter to a Boston area hospital. Their condition was not updated as of Saturday night.
Massachusetts State Police sent a K-9 unit, a helicopter, troopers from the Framingham Barracks, and troopers from the Middlesex District Attorney's Office to assist in the search for a suspect. They also sent a Crime Scene Unit, and a ballistics team to help.
State Police received an update around 7:15 p.m. that the search had been called off and that law enforcement did not have a suspect in custody.
The Framingham Patch reports that Framingham State University was placed under lock down during the search. Students were notified of the search via text.
Just before 9:30 p.m., students were told that the search was called off as investigators believed the suspect had fled the area.
