Police in Norwood looking to identify group accused of theft

Posted: Updated:

NORWOOD (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) Police in Norwood are asking for the public's help in identifying a group of people accused of theft during a visit to Stop & Shop.

Norwood Police allege that the suspects attempted to pay for two shopping carts full of groceries on Aug. 16 with an EBT card that had issues. When a store employee questioned the group, a man with them said he lived in town and that his father was a police officer. He told the employee that he would be back with a new card.

The group left the store in a gray MAZDA MDX minivan with no license plates.

Anyone with information about this group is asked to contact Norwood Police at 781-762-1212.
